Eat More Flowers!

Our first month ordering for our newly established cooperative in Grand Ridge, Grateful Plains Organics, Samantha and I were intrigued to find ‘edible flowers’ on the price list under herbs.

It is so exciting to realize that many of the flowers I plant in the garden for companion  planting add gorgeous color and some zip to salads and even desserts if you get into candied blooms.

Here are a few recipes that I am up for trying in 2014:
